We’re a team of passionate filmmakers, producers, businessmen and just creative people.
Together, we have one goal in mind – to find, develop, and produce/co-produce feature films that not only matter to us, but also have highly marketable concepts. After all, we got our start in marketing.
Back in ’98, Sarke began as an advertising agency. We had one tiny room and a single computer, but all the passion in the world.
Thanks to our awesome clients, we got the opportunity to produce hundreds of TV commercials for some of the biggest brands in the world.
That production experience inspired us to dare. We decided to take on a new challenge.
We started our journey in film, by making four successful Georgian language feature films for our own local market. But we didn't stop there.
In 2011, we made our firs English language feature. It’s a high concept genre film called 247°F – a story about a group of friends who get trapped in sauna that keeps getting hotter and hotter. And guess what. It was picked up and distributed by Anchor Bay in all English language territories. On top of that, it’s been released in a lot more territories around the world, too.
We’re filmmakers, but we didn’t go to film school. Instead, we studied business. We brought our business backgrounds to the thing we love the most. Film. Call it a happy coincidence.
We’re living and chasing the dream in Georgia - the small country in Eastern Europe.
Some people said it’d be impossible to break into the film biz from such a remote place. Looks like they were wrong. In 2013, we co-produced the latest film from Oscar™ winning director Michel Hazanavicius (Academy Award™ Best Director, Academy Award™ Best Actor: The Artist, 2011). Plus, we have three more English language features fully funded and slated for production in 2013/14.
